Measles outbreak may be becoming more likely in the United States

As a follow up to our measles podcast, I am will quickly go over a recent article in Medical News Today taking about risks of measles infection in the US.

In a recent analysis of the National Immunization Survey, a research team lead by Dr. Robert Bednarczyk in San Diego that up to 10% of children in the US (around 8,7 million) may be at risk for catching measles due to lack of or undervaccination. They are currently protected by herd immunity but could be at risk if vaccination rates among their peers were to drop.
