An Increase in cases of Pertussis in Manitoba

There has been a recent spike in cases of Pertussis in Manitoba with 40 cases this last year ( an noted increase from the usual 10 cases annually). Around 50% of the cases were seen in adults and adolescents. Only four of them were immunized against whooping cough so the outbreak can be blamed on lack of vaccination.
